The macsafe adapter is working fine, it is still able to charge my battery, etc. Open a downloaded dmg file, and then open a pkg file in dmg. I only just release that it starts minimised in the notification area, even after the initial install, which I think is pretty stupid. They all say that Keyboard for this model are the same than the model from 2011. From the drop-down menu, choose the time of inactivity that will force the keyboard backlight to turn off. So i tried like 3 different ones that i ordered from Ebay, from model 2009 to 2011 but i never could power on the Mac with all this keyboards… Did someone already noticed this before? I can also turn it off like normal through the apple drop down menu.
You can try using a small and sharp flathead screwdriver. Unfortunately, the key board does not work. Anything else I can try to figure out what is wrong with the power button? The screen never came on and now the power cord does not show a connection and no charging light. This is regardless of rather the lid is open or closed.
Meanwhile, aty the location where you show the power pads to be for late-2009, my logic board looks exactly like your pictures for the 2 different late-2009 versions. It will be quite minimal. It will work just as well. MacBook Pro 17-inch, Mid 2010 On this logic board the pads located in the lower left corner, on the right side to the mounting screw. Only the key pad and pointer works.
I posted some tips for troubleshooting and cleaning laptops after liquid spill here. It is not 100% solution but could work in 80-90% cases. When the problem initially started I found that unplugging the mag safe power cord then plugging it back in seemed to get the power button to turn the computer back on again. I tried again to short the power pads and the machine starts up normally with the keyboard ribbon connected. Still no start with the power button, but it will start with a short to the power pads. It used to work for me before, but now I'm getting: kernel Can't unload kext com. Strangely this process starts the computer the moment the mag safe is re-connected.

I cleaned it and managed to power on by shorting out the pins above but then the Macbook started to exhibit some star angle behaviour, it turned on by itself and then would not shutdown, well it did but it kept re-booting. Is it necessary for me to replace the entire keyboard at this point? So on to replace it.
Trying to jump the computer as per the article above does nothing. Try connecting the original keyboard. I had this issue along with a few keys on my keyboard not working so I replaced the keyboard, twice. Also, heating up the screw a little bit use small tip soldering gun might help to melt the thread locker stuff if there is any and make it loose. Try to turn it on but nothing happens.
