Nate's best tattoo on the show is on par with Nikki's worst. I don´t care who would win that tbh. Then, the top five artists on Team Peck battled Team Núñez's top five artists. An immunity will be rewarded to the team who wins this challenge. And the judging hasn´t been as crazy as on some of the other later seasons.
I find her just as whiny as Nikki. If Nate somehow takes Kelly's place, then I think I will riot quietly, in my living room, so as not to wake the neighbors. Each artist will pick the opposing artist's canvas they want to tattoo. Artists team up to create cyborg pieces for their canvases. In addition, Team Núñez assigned the pairs. Everyone keeps referring to Nate as some tattoo legend, but I am completely unimpressed with his work here, and with his shitty attitude. Edited November 26, 2016 by lordonia They picked a weird time for the teams to suddenly matter.
He shouldn't win based on that alone. Ink Master's hatefully slow site doesn't have the gypsy tattoos in their gallery; I wanted to look at them more closely because I was torn. Miami Ink was longer ago than I thought. Given how this show generally does things, she wont be allowed to incorporate either if she makes the finale and that makes me a little nervous. Ok, I'm officially on the Kelly bandwagon now. The first day has the artists tackling American traditional, a specialty Peck is known for. The contestant won the competition and was named Ink Master.
As much as I don't like Nikki's attitude, I like her tattoos. Agree that it better be Ryan, Kelly, and Gian in the finale. Ryan generally does good work but I don't like her or her attitude. Kelly seems like such a nice person. They made the judges work. I just am getting a little over the whining and the girl power.
Elisheba's canvas refused to work with her. Unusually nice moments for this show. Kelly's work is just so smooth and so precise and you can tell she has a light hand from the way she tends not to overwork her pieces she did overwork the head tattoo earlier on, though. The contestant won the flash challenge but was eliminated. They will then explain to the judges why that artist was chosen.
The difference in the work is night and day. Her gypsy was beautiful though, as was Kelly's. They must tattoo a style each team did not do when they acted as the Jury of Peers but were previously critiqued by the judges. Gian doesn't offend me but I'm rooting for Kelly to win. I hate skin tear tattoos because the style of skin rip is usually what we saw here - it looks more like bark than real skin. Therefore, she got a new canvas to work on.
Both gypsy tattoos were quite good. The contestant was immune from elimination. I agree that it is practically an insult that Nate is still there, but Nikki had to go home for 2 good tattoos. I love how both Ryan and Nikki said Kelly was their own tattoo artist role model before the show and now they are friends. The first seven episodes featured each team battling their own members in an elimination-style competition for a spot in the top ten. Peck and Nuñez will then pick the first five artists to be on their respective team. Anyway, here's a gypsy from Nate's portfolio for comparison.
Not as concerning as Ryan having to do full color though. The contestant won the face-off. Team Peck assigned Kelly with an American Traditional that showcases a ship, anchors and mermaids. Not sure why the canvas approved it in the first place. In addition, each captain decided on the pairs of their respective members.
Agree that it better be Ryan, Kelly, and Gian in the finale. However, not every artist will finish both marathons as one artist will be eliminated if they don't impress either Peck or Núñez. I didn't understand the critique about Nikki's headscarf, either. At this point in the game, they're all competing for one goal and alliances can hurt you. I really loved Nikki's gypsy sketch, but I think she lost it a little in the proportions of the face. Her work was generally good but her attitude was complete ass.
Team Peck received the canvas pick first after Nate picked up the skull that has the x mark on the bottom. The contestant was among the bottom group in the judges recall. Why not try to put out your best work in front of a few hundred thousand viewers? Co-signing the dislike of bio-mechanical. Kelly challenges Ryan to design two huge 90s-inspired New School dueling hot rods with big outlines, despite their alliance throughout the competition, while Gian was given a watercolor coral reef. The gimmick challenges should be over this late in the competition. Edited November 23, 2016 by Apatee If Kelly, Gian and Ryan are in the final which duh, must happen! I'm a little surprised he's still tattooing. Ryan will figure out a way to do a black and gray and white tat.
