Is it possible these albums were mixed for that crowd and subsequently sound terrible when you listen on decent gear? I'm unsure if the vinyl remaster is available in flac anywhere. Then again, if it sold albums en masse I can totally understand why you would do this. Please utilize for any concerns like getting posts out of the spam filter. That's probably because of advancing technology, but the way they recorded By The Way just kind of offputs me.
Records and was produced by Rick Rubin. For me, the worst part is how the high frequencies in the drum parts are just static. That is truly a disservice to Chad. The thing is even without the clipping californication sounds bad, the recording of that album for some reason was terribly done. John himself wasn't a fan, which is why a few of the singles are mastered differently than the album release Can't Stop and Universally Speaking. I'm not even against digital recording, it just bugs me here.
The only complaint about the track listing is that no pre-Blood Sugar Sex Magik selections are included. Around the year 2000 most of the target demographic for this album were listening on low-budget discmans with very tinny earphones. According to the band's vocalist Anthony Kiedis, Stadium Arcadium was originally scheduled to be a trilogy of albums each released six months apart, but was eventually condensed into a double album. The album is also the group's last to feature guitarist John Frusciante, who confirmed his departure from the band in 2009. Basically anything Chilis-related; past, present, and future. It was produced by Danger Mouse, who replaced Rick Rubin after twenty-five years and six albums as the band's producer, making it the first non-Rubin produced album since 1989's Mother's Milk, while its release makes the current lineup of the band only the second in the group's history to record more than one album together.

As for Cali, I just recently started to notice the distortion, which doesn't bug me too much except on louder songs, but even then I don't care too much. The album was recorded digitally, and that might not be a problem in it of itself, but it's the first album where Anthony was given obvious autotune. Actually, on future albums, even if it's there, it's not near as obvious. It sold more than 286,000 copies in the first week, and peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 their next album would peak at number one. But strangely, the group hadn't issued a live album during their career, that is, until 2004's Live in Hyde Park but even in this instance, it was for Euro consumption only.

. There is always the 2012 vinyl remaster, which was a great decision. Then I'm with you is released and boom, bad sound quality again. Recorded in June of the same year while on tour in support of By the Way, the majority of the set list is comprised of tracks from their that album, and its predecessor, Californication.
