I mean, you know, more so than they already are. But, I found most of them to be absolutely hilarious. With a deadpan bent, director Des McAnuff happily embraces the absurdity of it all, as do the characters, who often break the fourth wall to comment sarcastically on the paper-thin plot. When it's on a full-court press of snickers and grins, it's as comical as the screwy old cartoon ever was. In fact, it seems like a good idea for the first half hour of the movie, too. Bullwinkle and Rocky head out to address the President of the United States regarding their situation, but are stopped for six months by red tape.
When they arrive, Rocky and Bullwinkle run afoul of Boris and Natasha, a pair of spies from Pottsylvania who have been sent by their boss Fearless Leader to steal the secret recipe so he can use it to create a biological weapon to take over the world.
