Sure, it's not essential viewing by any means, but, nevertheless, it proves an effective little hundred-minute diversion. This part took a bit of the pace out of the film, picking up when the first gruesome kills start. This is not high art by any stretch of the imagination, but if you enjoy a riotously gory horror movie that really showcases some fantastic practical effects then this will definitely be your cup of Yorkshire Tea. The teens in this film were also depressingly unconvincing compared with Attack the block. They go in to the village for help but it turns out to be the worst thing they could have done.
There isn't very much plot, just gore, comedy and a bunch of bumpkins. It's well written, well acted and humorous where it means to be. These are real movie goers incidentally, actual ticket buyers, not the sycophantic media types you allude to. Later, Kate runs outside to distract them in an attempt to save Tim and Sam. The story is a rehash of most of these type of movies. More characters making stupid decisions. Ugly, evil, vile, inhuman, yet largely characterless, they invoke revulsion but no other connection. This is not a film for the faint hearted. He was integral to the whole Inbred machine. This hillbilly comedy written, produced, shot, edited, scored and directed. He has charisma and brings quite a lot to his role.
I am happy that our film is enjoyed by some, that is all. I had more fun watching this film than many others I have seen lately. It's the kind of thing a bunch of tipsy frat boys with a camcorder might cook up over a holiday weekend, except that their efforts would only be imposed on their families and friends. Audiences quite like being talked up to, know what I mean? As you wade through this technically proficient but deeply depressing one joke movie, a sort of Straw Dogs for the mentally retarded, an awful thought crowns. Look at the fantastic 2011 movie — it was the group of young friends in that film, their backgrounds, friendship and the dialogue they used that made that movie so damn outstanding. At first this was different, new. I'm proud to say that I fall into the latter category.
Wordsmith is one word not two, incidentally. Chandon, you sense, saw this review coming. There were still surviving victims in some of those films, but this gradually became less and less common. I give it an 8. But now after watching this I think I might have ate human flesh a couple of times. This is an hilarious and twisted film with lots of gore and plenty of laughs.
Good stuff first: It does well within the confines of a very low budget. Discover lots of underground and emerging artists from around the world. If you enjoy a gory Horror flick with plenty of wry humour then this Is for you. Special Features: Inbred is stacked out with special features. Finally there are a couple of deleted scenes that didn't make the final cut. It is shot through with a sense of humour so jet black and disturbingly bizarre that it comes close to transcending belief.
