It was working fine last night and I left the charger connected all night because it was almost out of batteries. This time, I could hear the fan hiss. It just routed with the main cable but not connected to anything. I know this is the problem because if I figit with it it will eventually get the computer to work. Bad connection between the video cable and motherboard.
Test system with an external monitor. Try removing them one by one. Thought that was the end of the problem but tonight the same thing has happened. When I hit the power button the led on the laptop comes on for 1-2 seconds then goes out, the display, external monitor, and fans have no activity. When I press the power button of my Acer Aspire 4535 the power light turns on and I hear the drivers but just for a ltitle while. I do not have a clue now what to do. Sometimes the backlight flickers on and off. How many people know how to use the reflow tool? The only other thing I can tell you is the battery is completly juiced so it only runs on the power adapter. Can I reset or flash the bios some way if the motherboard is not dead. If you regularly keep your computer plugged in, but it has wiggled loose and now the battery is empty, your computer may not be getting power for this reason.
It was off and not plugged in and the lid was closed, but the battery was connected. This was happening to my Acer One, and the tap sorted it! If your battery is connected correctly, but has no charge, plug in the power cord to charge the battery. Also my monitor ribbon seems fine too… any other troubleshooting ideas?? Try turning it on this way. If you are still experiencing a problem, please for further assistance.
Still able to get bright flash so I know the lights are there and working. It sounds like there could be a hardware issue going on. I tried with the 512 mb alone and same thing. There are no lights on and no response when I press the power button. Without being plugged in, but with battery in, nothing happens at all. If the computer is still dead, try removing other internal components wireless card, modem, keyboard, etc… and test it with an external monitor after each removed part. In this case, try charging the laptop battery with the laptop turned off. The M35 when in failure mode lights up and charges and runs fan for 1 sec.
