Driver- side window along B-Pillar not sealing Recently the driver side window shattered vandalism. I have a scheduled service in mid September and hopefully there will be fix by that time. So I took the remote and locked and unloced the doors and the drivers door lock light indicated that it was locking and unlocking but it would not lock or unlock with the remote. I guess I will just have to wait and see. Now the back window is stuck in the down position motor turns and grinds. It has pulled this a couple times over three years.
Seems to be an electrical problem. Those are the only things I can think of but it doesnt mean Im right. I am wondering if there is a fuse link somewhere that I have not found that may be blown. It only locked and unlocked with the key. The windows will roll down but only if I hit the top switch twice, but nothing else. Actually it was between 6,000 and 7,000. I still can't afford to get it fixed.
This is poor workmanship of components. I'd have to roll the window down and back up for it to close completely reminder-freaking cold here! My car has less than 33,000 miles on it and all four window regulators have gone out. That should get the top working again. When you pull the handle on the drivers door the window will drop enough for it to clear the top and allow you to open the door without Hi Ive got a 98 beetle no sunroof that collects water in the rear drivers side passenger foot well when it rains. I did not get it fixed because I could not afford it. Waiting for a week now for them to get the part in. The last thing you need to worry about is not being able to put your convertible top down in California because the power windows malfunction. The bug also has an electronic distributor. I had someone tell me to go to Harbor Freight and purchase a locking suction cup. Then you turn to the left and hold untill the windows are fully lowered. Basically they told me that it wasn't under warranty now and they couldn't do anything to help me.
I would have taken it to the Volkswagen dealership but they are way to expensive and even though my car had less than 30,000 miles the factory warranty had expired because it was over the 3 years. Curved back windows are very difficult in my opinion. This is supposed to reset the program. I have a 2004 Turbo Conv. We were working on my bros 69 beetle and he accidently shorted the two terminals on the coil while the coil was powered the 12v coil input was shorted to the terminal the tach attaches to. His in side driver side door handle is not working. Ill try to get one to swap out and let you know. I would think that all 4 should light when the brakes are depressed. The window regulator was replaced after the window got stuck in the down position, but it didn't fix this issue. When she returned they both would not roll up. Please if anyone knows an easy way to do this i would appreciate it. Try resetting the pinch protection program. Does anyone have any ideas???? Id leave the job to a pro if you decide you really want tinted windows.
The bug isnt standard at all. Some items may be unavailable for or incompatible with certain trim levels and models. I think my car is possessed. The top happened to be down at the time. My 1984 chevy c10 is my baby and no car will take its place. I don't know what to do.
Here's the sequence of events that caused my problems. During that time they drivers side window would go down a little like normal when I have a 2007 new beetle that has a lot of wind noise at the top of doors on both sides. First off the passenger door will not lock. Before this the vehicle did start Ok. When I unlock my car the windows automatically go down that half inch to clear the top when I open the door but randomly the driver side window will go up that half inch while my door is open.
